Christmas isn’t Christmas without stockings stuffed with goodies. While there are no written records of the origin of the Christmas Stocking, there are popular legends that attempt to tell the history of this quaint Christmas tradition.
One such legend is that a very long time ago, there lived a poor man and his three beautiful daughters. He had no money to get his daughters married and he was worried what would happen to them after his death. Saint Nicholas was passing through when he heard the villagers talking about the girls. While St. Nicholas wanted to help, he knew that the old man wouldn’t accept charity, so he decided to help in secret.
After dark he threw three bags of gold through an open window, one landed in a stocking. When the girls and their father woke up the next morning they found the bags of gold and were, of course, overjoyed. The girls were able to get married and live happily ever after and thus the tradition was born!
For this year’s Christmas, I sourced and found some of the best beauty stocking stuffers that would be perfect for your colleague, your bestie, your sister, your mother, your favourite aunt and even the kind lady next door!
For your colleague, your classmate, your niece or even your cousin, we totally recommend these delightful stocking stuffers that will be met with delight, but won’t break the bank:

This will give them the satisfaction of a new look without the damage that often goes with it. How thoughtful is that?
The Body Shop Freddie The Fox Hair Wrap, $16. Wrapping your hair in a heavy cotton towel can cause breakage or worse, the weight of the towel can cause your hair to get tugged clean off your scalp – eek. This uber cute hair wrap, made from super soft and absorbent microfibre, dries sopping wet hair, without the damage. Better yet, its made out of 100% recyclable material and would be a great gift for your eco-conscious friend or that colleague that comes to work with drippy hair.

It comes in two sizes and the little can is handy enough to pop into your handbag for a quick touchup when travelling. Dermatologically tested, this fine mist is formulated with Sakura Flowers to soothe red and irritated skin and works well as a base for your skin care regimen (I skip toner and use this straight after a shower on dry, clean skin, followed by my usual skincare products). I love how silky it feels on my skin and also that it smells really nice.

This serum is formulated with vitamin-rich peptides to restore youthful looking hair and a mix of Vernonia and grape polyphenols to invigorate the scalp and with daily use, hair is said to get stronger and more beautiful and healthy looking.
