Having fallen head over heels for By Invite Only’s Miffy collaboration, we have been wearing our pieces daily, and can happily confirm they look as immaculate and untarnished as the day we put them on. When word reached our desks that the homegrown brand was turning its attention to another nostalgic icon, Polly Pocket, we were eager to preview the results.
The range, titled Pocketful of Summer, channels the whimsical charm of Mattel’s pint-sized 1989 phenomenon into everyday accessories. Comprising six core jewellery pieces and 10 modular charms, the designs lean into seaside motifs, tropical accents, and the tactile joy of miniature discovery.
Crafted with sensitive skin in mind, each piece is forged in either 18k gold-plated or rhodium-plated eco brass. The standout hero is the Polly Pocket Shell Necklace ($109), an articulated clam shell pendant that opens to reveal a blue cubic zirconia centre alongside Polly’s nostalgic moniker,”OriginalHomebody”.
For minimalists, the Shelly Studs ($69) combine shell pearls with vibrant blue stones, while the Starla Huggies ($59) provide a subtle, star-set baseline for stacking.
The 10 interchangeable charms (priced between $59 and $69) invite wearers to customise their look. Highlights include a cheeky palm tree charm with cubic zirconia “coconuts”, a reversible branded heart, and tiny bursts of tropical teal enamel across miniature starfish, hot air balloons, and bows. They clip effortlessly onto the collection’s link bracelets and chain necklaces, offering a refined nod to retro play rather than kitsch.
Pocketful of Summer launches online and across all By Invite Only boutiques on 17 September 2026, with prices ranging from $59 to $109. Shoppers spending a minimum of $150 (including at least one Polly Pocket item) will also receive a complimentary pair of Silver Starla Huggies worth $59, available while stocks last.
