In celebration of 110 years of International Women’s Day (IWD), five local, female owned businesses banded together to come up with the first-ever #FeelGoodFestival here in Singapore.

With this year’s IWD theme ‘Choose To Challenge’, women of all walks of life are encouraged to stand tall as they strive towards inclusivity.

The Brands Behind The FeelGoodFestival

Inspired by the concept of 꽃미남 (kkotminam), which directly translates to “True Flower Boy,” Initia’s Korean-themed hair salon Cote Mi Nam is a green oasis within the city, devoted to providing a unique floral hair experience delivered by ‘Oppa’ stylists. To make every experience that much more special, customers are gifted a beautiful complimentary bouquet of fresh flowers after their treatment, further brightening their day.

Organic, cruelty-free and vegan local makeup brand Liht Organics with their collection of timeless shades and strong pigments is a must-explore for all makeup lovers. While luxury skincare brand meeth well known for its famous moisturising Morerich Essential Lotion made with purified deep seawater from Hokkaido, has a collection of Japanese skin care products that cannot be ignored.

Homegrown fashion brand The Dress Alley with its charming collection of very feminine and wearable pieces is another brand to explore.

Local footwear brand DMK with its newly launched collection of super comfortable shoes in trendy designs has pledged that part of the sales proceeds from its new #feelgoodDMK collection will go towards The Star Shelter Fund, a temporary refuge for women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence.

In 2020, police records revealed a 22% spike in domestic violence cases in comparison to the monthly average of 389 before the circuit breaker period. DMK hopes that by having women speak up and bring attention to the cause, other women will be inspired to courageously move on from their predicament.

To honour all you wonder women out there, the participating brands will be running exclusive #FeelGoodFestival benefits and perks either in-store or online for the month of March, so go ahead and treat yourself!
