Liht (pronounced as light) Organics is a Singaporean organic makeup brand that promises to heal and improve your complexion with regular use. The brand offers a wide range of nourishing and guilt-free organic makeup made with a high percentage of certified organic ingredients.

Women in the US apply an average of 168 chemicals, including endocrine disruptors, carcinogens and neurotoxins, to their faces and bodies every day, according to non-profit Environmental Working Group. They also found carcinogenic ingredients in one of every 120 cosmetic products that are freely available in the market, like shampoos, lotions, foundations, and lip balm.

Liht Organics offers products that are made with more than 90% natural ingredients, thereby allowing consumers to easily switch from traditional makeup that is filled with harmful chemicals to a skin and planet loving option.

Youth Elixir Liquid Foundation

This foundation comes in 10 shades and smells deliciously of vanilla ice cream. With its base made with Aloe Barbadensis (the most nourishing of over 200+ species of Aloe Vera), it has a gelish-cream texture and blends beautifully into the skin. I needed just half a pump of product for a flawless, natural coverage.

This intelligent formula is said to be able to nourish dehydrated skin, and curbs excessive sebum production in oilier skin, making it suitable for all skin types. While I do not personally use foundation, I found the texture and finish really beautiful and I would definitely use this to spot conceal my uneven skin tone.

Dusk to Dawn Liquid Liner

A good eyeliner coupled with a modicum of skill, can make even the teeniest eyes look large and doll-like. Unfortunately my eye makeup skills are non-existent and no matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch, I just can’t seem to master the art of the perfect cat-eye. This is why I mostly stay away from eye makeup except for a few lashings of mascara.

But if you are an eye makeup person, you should definitely give this liquid liner a try. Completely smudge and waterproof, it is strongly pigmented and claims to last without flaking until you rinse it off with warm water.

It’s also free of harmful heavy metals like lead, mercury and carbon, important ingredients to avoid since a lifetime of blindness is not worth even the best cateye.

Color-Intense Liquid Lipstick

Lipstick is my thing. Also, because I suck at eye makeup, I tend to over compensate when it comes to my lips. Unlike most liquid lipsticks that can be quite drying, this formula with its coconut oil and shea butter is nourishing on the lips and the the red shade I tested out was absolutely stunning. While I personally prefer matte lipsticks, this glossy shade is very beautiful and felt really comfortable on my lips.

The lipsticks come in four shades and the texture, while thicker than most liquid lipsticks, is very easy to apply. Although I didn’t try it on my cheeks, it can also double up as a liquid blush.

Unlike many greenwashed products on the market that are labelled as organic and natural, but only use less than 10% of natural and/or organic ingredients, Liht Organics contain USDA-certified organic ingredients, zero nanoparticles or harmful chemicals, and is most importantly vegan and cruelty-free.
