As a huge believer in the benefits of aromatherapy and essential oils, I am always on the look out for brands that carry oils that are 100% pure, ethically sourced and reasonably priced, which can be quite a tall order. Then I came across Ollie.
Ollie, the latest Singapore brand of essential oils and oil-based natural products is a 100% woman-owned business that is committed to sourcing raw materials sustainably and directly from the source.
With a green supply chain, and staying true to the company’s farm-to-customer business philosophy, Ollie has a wide range of essential oils from Ceylon Cinnamon Bark, Australian Tea Tree, Nilgiri Eucalyptus, Himalayan Cedarwood, Kochi Lemongrass, Himalayan Lavender, Mysore Sandalwood, Lemon Eucalyptus, and Peppermint oils to a variety of essential oil based products.
If You Want 100% Pure Essential Oils For Your Diffuser
I diffuse a variety of single or blended oils daily depending upon my mood, and was predictably excited to try Ollie’s range of oils.
Ollie’s Lemon essential oil 10ml, $10.90, has to be one of my all time favourite scents. Its uplifting, joyful and fresh and I use it to scent my wardrobe in place of a cupboard freshner (add a few drops to a cotton pad and refresh it twice a week).
The next oil I tried was their Himalayan Cedar-wood oil 10ml, $10.90, which has a woody scent that I like. I use it to clean the surfaces around my house and to deodorise my space.
I love the scent and taste of peppermint, so it was great to be able to try out Oillie’s Peppermint oil 10ml, $10.90. Its refreshing and minty aroma is a great pick me up for when I begin to get sluggish, and it also works a treat to keep roaches and other unwanted visitors out of the house.
Keep Your Hands Clean In A Jiffy
While I am admittedly more a soap and water sort of girl, when out and about in today’s virus filled world, having a good hand sanitiser on my person is a must. Made with pure essential oils of tea tree, sweet orange and peppermint, together with aloe vera and 69% alcohol, the Ollie Hand Sanitiser Spray 30ml, $7, is a joy to use. It smells zesty and fresh and keeps my hands germ-free and has the added benefit of aromatherapy.
If Mozzies Are An Issue
Thankfully I don’t have an issue with mozzies in my house, but when I pop down to the nursery to get my monthly plant fix, I get eaten alive by those buzzing buggers. Ollie’s Mosquito Repellent Spray 50ml, $9, is a blend of citronella, lemon eucalyptus, cedarwood, peppermint, spearmint, lemongrass, lavender, tea tree, rosemary, and sweet orange essential oils along with ethyl alcohol and distilled water. The product is safe for use for both children and adults and smells very different from the usual natural repellents that I have used. This, when it dries down has the subtle and pleasant woody scent of cedar.
No More Stinky Yoga Mat For Me, Thanks
There are far too many people out there who don’t clean their exercise mat for some bizarre reason or the other. While my mat is used more by my cat than me, I still make it a point to clean it with lavender or tea tree oil every few days to keep it clean and free of hair balls. Ollie’s Yoga Mat Sanitiser 50ml, $13.50, is a lovely smelling, alcohol-based spray that has been specially formulated to disinfect yoga or exercise mats and keep it from reeking.
Formulated with the essential oils of lemongrass and lavender, this sanitiser is easy to use. Just spray liberally on the mat after use, and wipe down with a clean cloth. If you go for yoga lessons and use a shared mat, I would suggest spritzing this on the mat before your class to remove the reek of dried sweat and kill any germs lurking within the foamy material.
The spray also doubles up as a fabric sanitiser, for your soft furnishings when your space needs a quick freshening up.
Ollie’s range of products are beautifully packaged, reasonably priced and crafted with honesty and love. Go here, if you would like to make a purchase or find out more about the brand or learn more about the different types of oils and their benefits.
