If you haven’t, spoiler alert because we will be talking about the winner of the NET-A-PORTER and Netflix production – Next In Fashion in the next paragraph, so you might want to skip this article until you finish binge watching the entire season.
As huge fans of both Tan France from Queer Eye and Alexa Chung, we were hooked on Next In Fashion as soon as it premiered on Netflix. We loved the beautiful designs and the drama and chemistry between the contestants and hosts. So if you love all things fashion, you really got to catch Next In Fashion!
The celebration of the winner of the competition took place at a private West Village townhouse, where the series co-hosts Alexa Chung and Tan France toasted Minju Kim and celebrated the “Next in Fashion” experience and show launch.
Models dressed in Minju’s collection for NET-A-PORTER were placed in elaborate vignettes throughout. Over two floors, guests sipped on soju yuzu sprtiz cocktails and Korean fried chicken bites, bimbap veggie bowls, mooncakes, and mochi bites desserts, as a nod to the designer’s Korean roots.
DJ Miles Hendricks warmed up the space with a playlist specially curated by Alexa Chung, and the fashionable crowd enjoyed looking at the collection and dancing the night away, kicking off New York Fashion Week in style.
The timing for Minju Kim’s launch coincided not only with New York Fashion week, but also with NET-A-PORTER’s February 10th launch of the spring season of The Vanguard, the brand’s mentorship program for emerging designers. Fans will be happy to know that Minju Kim is now available at NET-A-PORTER.
