Spirits enthusiasts in Singapore can experience premium Finnish gin, Tënu Gin, for the first time, at exclusively selected cocktail bars. Tënu Gin is crafted from rare wild forest ingredients deep within the Finnish Taïga – the last primitive, untamed forest wilderness of the North. 

Tënu’s slogan, “The Spirit of the Forest” describes the brand’s humble effort to pass on the feeling of awe and magic when you become one with the surrounding nature. 

Tënu Gin takes its inspiration and botanicals from the dark and vast forests of Finland and is distilled and bottled by Finnish monks in the Valamo Monastery Distillery in Heinavesi.

Great care is taken to keep the spirit’s link with its origins – the virgin forest. The ingredients live through the cold and dark winter and the midnight sun of the almost endless Finnish summer, which give it its special character. 

Tënu Gin – Forest Blend is distilled with juniper and lingonberries, arctic rose petals, and rare aromatic roots. The stunning label of the Tënu is designed by Klaus Haapaniemi, to represent the myths and stories of the magical nature of Finland. The black and gold swan of Tënu is a reminder that a Nordic experience is encompases more than just simplicity and lightness.

Le Bon Tikka – Barrel Aged Gin is a modified version of Tënu Gin – Forest Blend. The molasses base maceration is made with juniper berries, bilberries, wild arctic rose petals, fennel seeds and citrus peel. After a copper pot distillation, the gin is aged in medium roasted new American oak barrels for six months.

Tënu Gin is elegant, balanced, floral, yet strong. The main ingredient juniper is not dominant, as such Tënu’s lightness requires extra skills to make the spirit shine in cocktails, and the rewards are just as remarkable.

Tënu Gin will be officially launched in Singapore today at BeGIN Bar. The gin is available exclusively at selected bars here including Alchemist Beer Lab, Monte Carlo Boys, The Cooperage, Olivia Restaurant & Lounge, and Manhattan Bar, before being progressively introduced to other cocktail bars and restaurants in Singapore.
