But a new study conducted by the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, has shown that 4 in 10 people surveyed, reported better sleep when their pooch shared their bed. The results are according to a survey of 150 dog owners who participated in this recent study.

The study participants said that having their dog on the bed with them made them feel calmer and more relaxed.

A Feeling Of Safety And Security

Many took comfort in knowing their dog was nearby to alert them in case of a house fire, intruder, or other unexpected and unpleasant surprises.

Your dog will love sleeping with you, too. Cozying up on your bed is also a boone to your dog’s health and well-being. Plus their lives are so short compared to ours, so why not just let them be happy?

Snuggling with your fur-buddy can help you stave off feelings of loneliness and depression. Having a warm body, who won’t hog the blanket, sleeping beside you is very soothing. Plus dogs are great cuddlers.
