Google got everybody very excited when they announced that they are introducing new features like Scheduled-Send. This update is one of several announced on April 1, including better Smart Compose, and Suggested Subject for your email subject line.
With the new Scheduled Send feature, you will be able to schedule emails on Gmail with just a few clicks of a button. You can now compose an email as you normally would, even at ungodly hours of the day or night, but schedule it to be sent once the recipient is back on the clock.
Gmail is also expanding its Smart Compose service, which helps users draft new emails without needing to type in repetitive words and phrases.
Google says that Smart Compose is catching on with Gmail users. The feature predicts what users want to say and suggests a word or phrase that they can input with a single button press. According to Bank, it saves Gmail users from needing to type 1-billion characters each week.
Smart Compose will intelligently adapt to how you write and maintain your tone of voice and style. It’ll also evaluate a message’s content and suggest a relevant subject line.
Google is looking to continue to work on Gmail to make it “smarter and more useful” for its users. So don’t be surprised to see these new updates pop up in Gmail sooner, rather than later.
