The Singapore Cable Car connects Mount Faber to Sentosa Island offering access to a collection of unique leisure activities from the hilltop to the island.
An iconic attraction that has played a significant role in the Singaporean tourism landscape for 45 years, the Singapore Cable Car has been capturing the hearts and minds of locals as well as tourists with its breathtaking scenic views of Sentosa Island, Mount Faber and the Harbourfront.
Launched in the year 1974, the Singapore Cable Car has served over 57 million riders. Today, guests sit in the comfort of the spacious 4th generation cable car cabins, which are encased with floor‑to-ceiling glass panels that offer even greater viewing pleasure of the ever-changing views of Southern Singapore.
To commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the Singapore Cable Car, One Faber Group has come up with a year-long lineup of exciting activities, promotions and exquisite F&B creations.
Enjoy A Spectacular Multimedia Show And Relish In Exclusive F&B Creations At Hill-top Restaurant Arbora
Recently, during a media event, One Faber Group debuted an original multi-sensorial video‑mapping show called ‘Miraculous’ where central characters Mira and Mirak – a pair of mighty squirrels – live in a heart shaped Angsana tree at hilltop restaurant Arbora at Faber Peak Singapore. The squirrels have a special ability to camouflage and can only be seen through their luminous back strips and tails.
The kaleidoscope of lights featured on the tree represents diverse energy – pink for love, gold for health, purple for wealth, orange for happiness and blue for knowledge.
‘Miraculous’ is open to the public until April 2020. The show will be performed every night for three sessions at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Seats will be provided on a first come first serve basis and if you are a Faber license member or a cable car patron, seats will be reserved for you.
Having seen the show premiere, I would recommend it for both families and couples. It is a sweet yet captivating digital presentation set against the night sky at Mount Faber Peak. The spectacular view and the colourful show will guarantee you a wonderful evening with your loved ones at the Arbora restaurant. Additionally, you can also enjoy exclusive F&B creations at the restaurant.
The anniversary-special F&B menu features the ‘Mighty Rainbow Cake’, which is inspired by ‘Miraculous’ and its vibrant colours. Priced at $10, this delicious cake is served with a sprinkle of forest berries. You can also indulge in the ‘Session IPA’ and the ‘Summer Brew’- exclusive craft beers priced at $12 for one or $20 for two.
Other Highlights And Things To Do
Other key highlights of the celebratory campaign include the ‘Explorer Passport’- a self-guided exploration activity across the hill that draws a map to a hidden Merlion on Mount Faber. From 7 pm to midnight everyday, guests taking a ride on the cable car can enjoy breathtaking views of the lit-up facade at Faber Peak. There is also an exclusive Photo Point that has two vintage cable cars at display for a limited time.
Furthermore, at Faber Deck, guests can also enjoy other special F&B creations, from uniquely flavoured satay, traditional peanut sauces and ketupat. Durian lovers can also indulge in the Mao Shan Wang Durian Feast at Mount Faber.
Enjoy Discounts With Anniversary Promotions
Starting from 15th April this year till 31st March 2020, cable car patrons can enjoy a waiver of $4.50 on online purchase of tickets for Mount Faber Line (round trip) and Sky Pass (round trip). Between 1st June 2019 and 30th June 2020, one kid (12 years and below) can enjoy a free meal with a purchase of Singapore Cable Car Stardust Cabin dining experience.
