Singapore Korea Fair takes over L^IFE at *SCAPE this National Day weekend from 7 – 8 August with Korean food, K-pop performances, startup showcases, nostalgic Singapore games, craft workshops and a community mahjong mixer, celebrating 51 years of friendship between Singapore and South Korea.
Innovation takes centre stage with 20 Korean startups showcasing products and technologies across food tech, agri-tech, beauty, wellness and sustainability.
Visitors can meet founders, explore live demonstrations and discover brands including ChoiseLab, TrackFarm and InvaLab, all of which are introducing solutions ranging from AI-powered farming to chemical-free fertilisers and environmental monitoring technologies.
Festival-exclusive food and café experiences
No Korean festival is complete without food, and the Singapore Korea Fair has plenty to tempt visitors.
Nuldam Space is serving a Singapore-exclusive Milo Dinosaur Mocha alongside its signature desserts and drinks. Guests can also participate in its popular letter-writing experience by penning a message to be delivered a year later.
Meanwhile, frozen yoghurt brand Yaojung is bringing its Cookie Surprise event to Singapore, where the first 100 participants stand a chance to win prizes including complimentary frozen yoghurt and a VIP membership worth $360.
More Korean street food and pop-up concepts will also be available throughout the weekend.
Relive Singapore childhood favourites
To celebrate National Day, familiar playground classics such as five stones, chapteh, zero point and hopscotch return as interactive game stations.
Complete the challenges and you could win shopping vouchers, dining treats and other prizes. Complimentary Singapore flags will also be available while stocks last.
Visitors can also catch a special appearance by Singapore comic icon Mr Kiasu, adding another nostalgic touch to the festivities.
Get creative with heritage-inspired workshops
Saturday’s programme includes two hands-on workshops celebrating Singapore’s heritage.
Create a pressed orchid acrylic coaster inspired by Singapore’s national flower before trying your hand at traditional batik painting with complimentary sessions by Mochiart.
Workshop slots are limited and subject to availability.
K-pop performances and a community mahjong night
Fans of Korean entertainment can look forward to performances by SM Universe and POPPA, bringing live music and dance to the festival throughout Saturday afternoon.
The celebrations continue into the evening with the National Day Mahjong Mixer, where friends and strangers alike can gather over one of Singapore’s favourite games. New to mahjong? A complimentary beginners’ workshop will be held earlier in the day.
