Singapore’s premier shopping belt just gained a significant dose of Scandinavian soul. On the 3rd of March this year, award-winning Danish lifestyle brand BoConcept officially opened the doors to its new flagship store on Orchard Road.

This 3,800-square-foot showroom represents a major milestone in the brand’s expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. Designed to be an immersive hub for homeowners and design enthusiasts alike, the flagship brings the brand’s “Live Ekstraordinær” philosophy to life through a sophisticated blend of customisation, modularity, and expert craftsmanship.

A Legacy of Modern Living

BoConcept’s journey began in 1952 in a small Danish cabinetmaking workshop. Over the past seven decades, it has evolved into a global powerhouse with more than 300 stores across 65 countries. Despite its international scale, the brand remains tethered to its roots: creating furniture that doesn’t just look beautiful but functions intuitively within the home.

At BoConcept, design is not just about aesthetics. It is about how it makes people feel and how it supports everyday life,” explains Mikael Kruse Jensen, CEO of BoConcept. “Through thoughtful design, modular solutions and deep customisation, we empower homeowners to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but deeply personal and truly livable.”

Tailored to the Individual

The heart of the new Orchard Road location is the Interior Design Service (IDS). Recognising that modern urban living requires flexibility, the store offers one of the most extensive material libraries in Singapore. With over 100 premium fabrics and leathers to choose from, customers can work alongside professional interior stylists to tailor almost any piece, from expansive wall systems to iconic sofas, to fit their specific spatial needs and aesthetic preferences.

To bridge the gap between imagination and reality, the store utilises a 3D Room Planner. This allows clients to see detailed renderings of their own homes furnished with BoConcept pieces, ensuring that proportions and palettes are perfect before a single order is placed.

Global Design, Local Flavour

The flagship also highlights BoConcept’s high-profile collaborations with world-renowned designers, including Bjarke Ingels (BIG), Karim Rashid, and Nendo. These partnerships infuse traditional Danish minimalism with architectural flair and contemporary textures.

In a first for the brand, the Orchard Road store also celebrates Singapore’s local creative scene. The showroom features curated integrations from homegrown brands, including the coffee-tech innovators MORNING and the botanical artisans at Soilboy. By blending precision-brewed coffee and “living sculpture” greenery with high-end furniture, BoConcept has created a multi-sensory environment that feels like a completed home rather than a cold gallery.

Sustainability through Longevity

In an era of disposable furniture, BoConcept’s modular approach offers a refreshing alternative. By allowing for the repair or replacement of individual components, the brand extends the lifecycle of its products. As lifestyles change, perhaps moving from a compact apartment to a larger family home, the furniture is designed to evolve and adapt rather than be replaced.

Grand Opening Highlight: The Imola Giveaway

To mark the launch, BoConcept Singapore is offering a rare opportunity for one lucky individual to own a piece of design history. From now until 31 March 2026, new subscribers to the BoConcept online newsletter will enter a draw to win a fully customisable Imola armchair, valued at up to $10,000. The winner will be invited to use the Interior Design Service to select the exact materials and finishes to suit their home.

The BoConcept Flagship is located at 270 Orchard Road, #01-01 (just after Paragon), and is open Monday to Sunday, from 11 am – 9 pm.
