While both models share the impressive 4D + 3D Dual Core ‘V’ Massage Engine, I found that each has its own distinct personality and strengths.
Cloud 9: The Award-Winning Powerhouse
Think of Cloud 9 as the “big brother” of the series, a recipient of the Italian A’Design Silver Award. It feels incredibly intuitive, almost like a professional therapist is reading your mind, and it practically is.
- Dual Intelligent AI Detection: Using a 4-index health assessment, it measures your blood oxygen, heart rate, and fatigue levels to recommend a personalised massage
- The “Piano-Style” Touch: The armrests use a rhythmic pressure that mimics alternating finger movements, which felt amazing after a long day of typing.
- Heat Therapy Shawl: This was a standout for me. Instead of just back heating, this shawl wraps around your shoulders, chest, or abdomen to soothe digestive tension, period cramps, and deep muscle aches.
- Heated Jade Rollers: These rollers offer superior thermal stability, reaching temperatures up to 50°C to boost circulation.
Cloud: Effortless Everyday Decompression
Don’t let the “standard” label fool you; the Cloud is a beast in its own right. It actually features more airbags (44 vs. 36) than the Cloud 9, offering a full-body “wrap” that spans from your shoulders down to your calves.
- Massage Coverage: It utilises a Flexible i-OPEN Rail (S+L Track) that ensures the massage covers everything from your neck down to your hips and thighs.
- Foot Spa Therapy: If you spend all day on your feet, the Cloud’s advanced foot spa, with its kneading, scraping, and calf-to-knee stretching, provides much-needed relief.
My Personal Favourite: The Zero Gravity Recline
If I had to pick one feature that sold me, it’s the Zero Gravity Recline. Both chairs position your body at a 118° angle with your legs raised to 135°.
The sensation of weightlessness is immediate. I felt the spinal pressure simply evaporate, and the gentle stretching of the spine helped alleviate that “compressed” feeling we all get from sitting at our desks all day. Because of their Zero Space Technology, the chairs only need 10cm of wall clearance to reach this full recline, making them perfect for smaller living rooms.
