After learning a tough (and very cold!) lesson in Hakuba last year, I knew I couldn’t cut corners on winter wear for my upcoming ski trip to Korea. You just can’t enjoy the snow if you’re freezing, and “proper winter wear” is definitely a must.

I picked up a Winter Time Men’s Polyester Down Park in Army Green from their new Muscovy Down Collection, and I’m already incredibly impressed.

Warmth & Fill

This is the main reason I got it, and it delivers. The 80% down to 20% feather fill, which is a high-quality ratio that traps heat exceptionally well. Just trying it on, you can immediately feel it insulate. It feels substantial and puffy, but not so bulky that I can’t move.

This gives me a lot of confidence that I’ll stay warm on the slopes and during cold Korean nights.

Style & Features

The style is a great blend of modern, technical, and classic. I went with the Army Green, which is a very versatile and stylish earth-tone that works perfectly on the slopes or just walking around the city.

It has that classic “puffer parka” silhouette, it’s mid-length for good coverage and has horizontal baffles (the stitched sections) that hold the down. It looks substantial and warm without being overly bulky or restrictive. It’s exactly that ‘slope-to-street’ vibe that looks good everywhere

A few things I really like:

  • The inner lining has a subtle, stylish reflective pattern, which is a nice premium touch and a thermal reflective surface to retain your body heat.
  • The main zipper is covered by a snap-button storm flap, which is essential for keeping wind from cutting through.
  • The pockets are deep and well-placed.
  • More importantly, it looks great!

Value & Verdict

For the price of $259.00, the value here is fantastic. Finding a proper 80/20 down-filled parka from a trusted local brand like Winter Time feels like a smart move. It feels like a serious upgrade from my last setup, and I’m genuinely looking forward to putting it to the test in Korea.

If you’re a fellow Singaporean heading for a real winter holiday, I’d 100% recommend checking this parka out. It’s the real deal. Visit their website to find out more!
