Singapore’s nightlife scene just got an upgrade with the opening of RED Live House (红伶) at Suntec City. RED Live House is more than a mere watering hole.
Blending live performances, modern Chinese cultural flair, and a menu designed to impress, it has become the go-to place to unwind for the working crowd in the vicinity since its opening last week.
Cosy Vibes And Comfortable Seating
The first thing one notices when stepping into RED Live House is its intimate and stylish design. The venue seats up to 350 guests across 50 plush tables, each accommodating up to 10 people.
The setup feels warm and inviting—perfect for a night out with friends, treating family to a special dinner, or entertaining colleagues and/or clients.
The seats are thoughtfully arranged, giving everyone a great view of the stage while leaving enough space to relax and settle in for the evening. The centre stage also allows viewers to get up close and personal at times with the performers.
Flavours That Steal The Show
The food at RED Live House deserves as much applause as the performances. The menu is a delightful mix of Western and Asian favourites, with dishes that will keep you coming back for more.
Their crab-fried rice is a standout, bursting with rich flavours that hit all the right notes. The crispy pork belly is another star—boosting perfect crunchy skin and tender juicy meat. Then there’s the steak, grilled to a flawless medium-well doneness. The meat is tender, juicy, and seasoned just right.
The attentive servers add to the dining experience, always ready with recommendations or a quick refill, making you feel right at home.
Music That Hits The Right Notes (Mostly)
Of course, no trip to RED Live House is complete without soaking in the live performances. Mandopop enthusiasts will feel right at home, with a dynamic lineup that pays homage to both classic and contemporary hits.
Talented singers deliver heartfelt renditions of favourites by legends like Jay Chou, Eason Chan, and Sandy Lam, blending them seamlessly with songs that have regained popularity through China’s vibrant singing variety shows.
These shows have played pivotal roles in re-introducing timeless tracks to new audiences. Many artists, including Zhang Bichen and Yang Kun, choose to perform iconic hits from the early 2000s, breathing new life into these classics. The highlight of the opening night was the performance of Zai Jia Na Gong He Guo Li Hun (Divorced in Ghana), a song that has gained renewed acclaim through Zhang Bichen and Yang Kun’s captivating duet.
The songlist is packed with instantly recognizable classics that had the entire room buzzing. The audience couldn’t help but sing along, turning the night into a massive sing-along session.
The energy was so infectious at times that the performers would point their microphones at the crowd, letting the enthusiastic voices of fans take over. Ballads, dance hits, and even iconic English tracks like Bruno Mars and Blackpink’s Apt added to the cheery atmosphere.
While the singers are polished and engaging, the sound system could use some fine-tuning. On certain songs, particularly during lower notes, the audio came across as slightly muffled—a minor hiccup in an otherwise stellar lineup.
Escape To Flow.L Lounge
If the bustling main venue feels too energetic, the Flow.L Lounge tucked within RED Live House offers a quieter, more exclusive alternative. With its sleek, modern design and serene vibe, it’s the perfect spot for those who want to unwind in style.
The lounge is a great addition to the space, offering a more refined, laid-back experience that feels a world away from the vibrant main floor.
Entertainment Meets Elegance
What makes RED Live House special isn’t just its food or performances—it’s how everything comes together. The space feels like a dinner theatre on steroids, where great music, good company, and exceptional food collide. Whether you’re there for the Mandopop, Cantopop, dance music, crab fried rice, or just a night out to soak up something different, RED Live House delivers on all counts.
While it’s clear the venue is still working through some minor kinks (the sound system, for instance), RED Live House offers a fresh, sophisticated take on nightlife that Singapore has been waiting for.
With a soft yet buzzing atmosphere, top-notch service, and plenty of delicious food and drinks to keep you satisfied, it’s safe to say RED Live House is more than just another live venue—it’s a full sensory experience.
RED Live House is located at Suntec City Tower 2 (Mall) #01-500 and opens daily from 11 am to 3 am. Call ahead to find out more about its live performance line-ups and timings.
