Packing your suitcase for vacation is more of a hefty job than people realize. There’s a lot to remember, as well as plenty to try and cram in there; if you can just about zip it up when you’re done, you’re good to go!

However, you’ve got to make sure there’s a few essentials in there, before anything else. And most of all, you’ll need a few items that’ll make your vacation a lot more convenient – otherwise it’ll be kind of hard to enjoy your time there! As such, here’s a quick list of some of our personal recommendations.

An Electronics Pouch/Organizer

Do you struggle to fit all your electronics and their chargers and accessories into your bag? Well struggle no more! If you get yourself an organizer, you can easily fold them all away and keep them in one place. No longer will you have to dig to the bottom of your bag to find the portable battery, nor fight your way through various different cables to find the one you need for the camera – they’ll all be neatly separated into their own space!

A Weather Blocking Jacket

No matter where you’re going, the wind and rain might pick up completely out of nowhere. When it does, you’ll want to have a basic jacket with you that’ll keep the worst of the weather off your shoulders. Yes, you can pick up a cold in the middle of Spain if you’re not careful! So buy yourself a thin but resilient jacket that’ll ‘windbreak’ and act as a waterproof barrier. You can then roll it up thin and pack it into your suitcase without needing to take up too much room.

A Prepaid Phone

A phone with a Prepaid Bill is a good thing to have in your case. Why? Because it ensures you’re never overspending on your safety buffer, nor will you have to deal with international charges when calling, texting, or video conferencing a loved one. That means you’ll have a lot more money for souvenirs and eating out at local restaurants. Ultimately, what could be a better thing to pack? It’s good to stay in touch, and you won’t have to worry about when you can send your next message.

Extra Pairs Of Underwear

If you don’t pack any, you’re going to need them more than ever! But if you put a couple extra pairs in the suitcase, you’ll be safer than houses! Don’t worry; they won’t take up too much space, and you can also fit a cheap pair of flip-flops in alongside them. You can wear these in the bathroom, which is especially good if you’ve got to share your toilet and shower with other people.

If you want to be truly comfortable on your next vacation, think about the creature comfort items you’ll miss while you’re there. Make a list, buy mini versions of them if you have to, and then pack them all into your suitcase and get going!
