I was really excited to trial and review the new Flawless Fit foundation by Covermark, which claims to provide exceptional coverage, and have loads of beneficial skincare ingredients in it’s new formulation. These ingredients include intercellular-lipid-like moisturising ingredients such as ceramide, plant cholesterol and palmitic acid.

What also helps to set it apart from the rest, is the melting matrix formula, which is said to make the cream glide on smoothly, to provide a silky smooth finish.

The skin reflection oil in the formula is also said to provide a flawless finish while preventing it from caking or smudging. While the horny layer reproduction powder apparently replicates the complex light reflection effect observed in the horny layers within the skin, resulting in beautiful, glowy skin.

Although the foundation is of a cream texture, it is not sticky or oily at all. Instead, I found it to sit comfortably on my skin throughout the day. The finish is also semi-matte, and not heavy at all, so I would recommend it even for those with combination or oily skin. The overall effect is flattering and natural looking, if just a thin layer of the product is used.

I also really like the foundation for its ability to last throughout the day. At the end of the day, there was no obvious shine on the T-zone even in our humid weather. It also didn’t look cakey or streaky, even after I perspired and rubbed off some product in the process of drying my face with a tissue.

I found that the foundation gave me medium coverage with just a single thin layer of product, and the coverage is also build-able. I have some freckles and managed to cover most up with a little more foundation applied on the problem area.

I also like the fact that the foundation seems to make the fine lines on my skin look a little less obvious. The formula also boasts six key plants extracts (Panax Ginseng, Ganoderma Lucidum, Angelica Acutiloba Root, Coicis Semen, Persicae Semen, Aloe) and water-soluble collagen formulation, which is suitable for all skin types.

The foundation is moisturizing as it contains potent plant extracts to increase the moisture level of the skin.

I am always looking to protect my skin from further photo-damage, like dark spots and freckles, so I am really happy that the foundation comes with a sun care protection of SPF 35 PA+++.

The elegant design of the compact also makes it a perfect travel companion. I especially like the sponge applicator, which is similar to a two-way cake applicator. It picks up just the right amount of product with just a light dab, and spreads it very evenly on the skin. The texture however feels a little rough on the face and is something that could be improved upon.

For somebody with really fair skin, I appreciate the fact that the foundation comes in 11 shades, so girls like me can find the perfect shade within the range easily. Shade wise, the foundation may oxidize a little after application, so if you are in between shades, I would recommend going with lighter shade for a brightening effect.
