After the successful launch of its first collaboration with New Balance back in April 2020, Paris-based label Casablanca is back with another take on the New Balance 327.
In stark contrast to the first collaboration which presented the 327 in eye-catching green and orange colourways, the second collaboration shows the Casablanca 327 with an effortless Parisian imprint, but in a more subtle design. This time, the sneaker is dressed in clean white upper, one colourway with a white iconic 327 oversized “N” logo, while the other sports the logo in black.
Despite the stark contrast in motifs, the second collaboration of the Casablanca 327 cleverly references the first with subtle, intricate details – with green trim around the “N” logo for the white colourway, and an orange tongue on the black sneaker. The co-branded tongue tag and a bold New Balance logo on the footbed make the perfect finishing touch for this collaboration.
Exuding a chic and more stripped-back aesthetic, the new Casablanca 327 drop is described by Charaf Tajer, French Moroccan founder of Casablanca, as a collection that is a natural extension of the ‘Après-Sport’ style, a neoclassical luxe elegance. The sneakers provide luxurious comfort and offer that versatile and transitional studio-to-street look for the wearer – it is the perfect timeless classic shoes that will never go out of style.
The Casablanca 327 presents an underlying leather shell with the usual 327 suede accents in off-white, while glossy black leathers are a new sight for the black “N” logo. The overlays are a light grey, with a hint of floral pink on the tongue.
The white and cream hues with black and green minimal detailing result in a sneaker that subtly flaunts a sporty, yet endlessly luxurious style.
The Casablanca 327 retails for $209. Visit www.newbalance.com.sg for more information.
