Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day are both just around the corner and most of us are getting ready to look our best, especially when visiting family and running into frenemies on the MRT.

Usually, if I have to touch up my makeup, I end up applying new makeup over the old and that leaves my skin looking cakey. These wipes help to keep your makeup looking fresh by cleaning off the old, while moisturising ingredients like argan oil and avocado extract ensure that fresh makeup applies smoother.

Perfect Magic Kill Fit Tint is the most comfortable matte lip-tint that I have used. It has a lovely silky, almost silicone-type slip to it and dries down matte but silky and smooth. The colour pay-off is very vibrant and it stays put, with no transferring onto your glass or your boyfriend’s lips and face, which is always a plus. Containing sunflower seed oil, rosa canina fruit oil and shea butter, it hydrates the lips and creates full volume without any lines or wrinkles.

I really can’t get over how nice and silky this feels on my lips because almost every other matte lip tint or lipstick I have tried has always been very drying. I also really like the packaging.

If you are as bad at makeup application as I am, this eyeshadow palette was made for you! The Aprilskin Perfect Magic Dual Eyeshadow $27, blends three shades at once and comes in two colour combinations. Just one swipe with the cute chunky blender and you’ve got beautiful gradient eye makeup, without all that blending and skill normally required to look half decent.

The case is compact enough to pop into your handbag or clutch. Price-wise, its really affordable and I think its a total steal. Just don’t expect a strong colour pay-off – instead, what you get is a soft and buildable hue that looks natural and blends beautifully. The top trio of colours is perfect for everyday wear, while the bottom works great for a date or a night out.
