Your Mobile Phone Has More Bacteria Than A Public Loo. Here’s How You Can Clean It For Less Than $5

Welcome to the digital age, where our mobile devices have become more an appendage than an actual device. Because of our obsession with our gadgets, most mobile phones have just as much, if not more germs than a public loo seat, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the fact that most of us take our phones into the toilet with us, lest we should have be apart from our digital appendage for more than 10-minutes (horror!). 

Your phone (unless you are super diligent and clean it daily) is most likely a mini cess pit that desperately needs a clean before you catch salmonella from it. To hammer in our point even further, according to a study conducted, most touch screen phones have  25,000 germs per square inch, which is just super gross. However, cleaning them with anything other than a suitable device cleaner could ruin the finish, take off its protective coating or damage the screen or electronic item itself.  So here is a good zero waste DIY  screen cleaning solution that literally costs only a few dollars!

What you will need:

• 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
• 1/4 cup distilled water (yes distilled, not mineral or tap water)

Pour the solution into a small spray bottle, shake well and lightly moisten a lint-free, preferably microfiber cloth and gently wipe down the screen and case. Never spray directly onto the device. The rubbing alcohol works to remove grease and bacteria, and dries almost immediately, preventing any streaks.
