Accordingly to Merz Aesthetics, achieving the “Golden ratio” for your face shape and features is the key to possessing a face that is considered universally beautiful.

Merz Aesthetics, the company behind the only U.S. FDA-cleared, non-invasive skin lifting and tightening ultrasound device Ulthera, recently announced that 29-year old Sales and Marketing Executive Nurin Nisha M. Heallmy (pictured in the article) has the most well-proportioned face, based on a total of 80 submissions from Singapore from the “MAAT2 Golden Ratio Search”.

The search was a first of its kind in Asia and sought to promote a better understanding of how facial proportions can translate to attractiveness. It was also an integral part of the launch of the first medical guideline that provides a holistic approach to aesthetic treatments to achieve well-proportioned faces in Asians. The “MAAT2 Golden Ratio Search” was conducted in 10 countries to demonstrate that well- proportioned facial types transcend ethnicities and geographical borders. More than 3,000 submissions were received from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

During the search, it was found that the oval (65%), square (19%), round (6%), inverted triangle and oblong (1% respectively) were the most common facial shapes amongst the 80 Singapore female participants between the ages of 21 – 54 years old. According to Dr Joyce Lim, Dermatologist at Joyce Lim Skin and Laser Clinic, a member of the local panel for the “MAAT2 Golden Ratio Search”, the oval face shape is the ideal face shape regardless of ethnicity.
