If your idea of seasonal fun involves navigating dimly lit corridors, dodging live scare actors, and trying to keep your composure on camera, Tampines 1 has well and truly raised the bar this October. Returning for its seventh consecutive year, the mall has outdone itself with an escape-style, gamified rooftop maze dubbed Toy Factory 444—and having survived it first-hand, we can safely say it is their most thrilling edition yet!

Running across selected dates from mid-October through 1 November 2026, the rooftop activation shifts away from the standard walkthrough haunted house. Instead, visitors step into a full narrative where hunting down a rare bunny plushie quickly unravels into a survival puzzle. Rather than simply walking through jump scares, groups must hunt for hidden clues, resolve tasks, and outwit the factory’s resident ghouls before their time runs out. To ensure you do not forget your moments of sheer panic, candid reaction cameras are tucked throughout the route to capture personalised video keepsakes.

The spine-chilling rooftop fun is complemented by daytime retail pop-ups. From 5 to 11 October, the Main Atrium transforms into an eerie outpost in collaboration with Box Hunt and the Singapore Fashion Council. Collectors can get their hands on seasonal blind boxes—spotlighting quirky cult figures like Grumpipi and OPanDee Zombie Party—and customise their mini companions on the spot using upcycled textiles.
