An unprecedented island-wide festival is set to rewrite the summer calendar in Singapore. Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has officially announced a blockbuster three-month collaboration with Disney Cruise Line titled A Magical Island Adventure: Let’s Set Sail with Disney Cruise Line. Running daily from 24 June to 20 September 2026, this massive holiday activation will see the iconic leisure destination entirely reimagined through the lens of Disney’s most beloved stories.
Inspired by the seven uniquely themed zones aboard the highly anticipated Disney Adventure cruise ship, the festival introduces a seamless day-to-night journey. Interactive play spaces and sunlit coastal encounters will shift effortlessly into vibrant, neon-lit nocturnal wonderlands after the sun sets. In a historic move, the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia will even extend its daily opening hours until 10:00pm, providing a dramatic backdrop for a dedicated night-time programme.
Charting the Island Discovery Trail
To help guests navigate this sprawling wonderland, a special event passport system has been introduced. Visitors can embark on a self-paced discovery trail stretching from the skies down to the shoreline, collecting unique medallion stamps at key installations that mirror the onboard spaces of the Disney Adventure.
The magical experience begins before visitors even step foot on the sand. From early July, the Sentosa Express monorail trains will don a festive exterior wrap featuring Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse to welcome arrivals from VivoCity. Meanwhile, the Singapore Cable Car (Sentosa Line) will take the narrative to the skies. All three cable car stations—Sensoryscape, Imbiah Lookout, and Siloso Point—will feature dedicated photo backdrops, while the individual cabins themselves will be styled after shipboard zones like Toy Story Place and Disney Discovery Reef.
Immersive Shoreline Hubs
Palawan Beach serves as the bustling epicentre of the summer festivities. Guests arriving at the beach will be greeted by a towering six-metre inflatable anchor flanked by beautifully crafted sand sculptures of Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie.
Further along the coast, the beach splits into distinct pop-up zones:
- San Fransokyo Street: Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6, this area features a massive six-metre Baymax inflatable and a relaxed beachside layout complete with deck chairs. A dedicated, rotating line-up of food trucks and retail stalls will keep the energy lively throughout the three-month run.
- Toy Story Place: Recreating a whimsical, oversized toy box right on the shoreline, this zone boasts giant figures of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Bullseye. Families can enjoy bubble inflatables and a shoreline splash pad centred around a 3.9-metre shower-head water feature, all enhanced by bright neon lighting after dark.
- Marvel Landing at The Palawan: Comic book fans can explore blueprint-style installations tracking Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Highlights include interactive photo opportunities inspired by the Ironcycle Test Run and Groot Galaxy Spin—complete with tunes from Groot’s Awesome Mixtape—and an evening-activated Infinity Bar illuminated by glowing cocktail sculptures.
Oceanic Mysteries and Royal Promenades
At the Central Beach Bazaar, a 3.5-metre Magical Compass installation acts as the primary storytelling guide for the island, helping visitors chart their path.
Nearby, the architectural marvel of Sensoryscape undergoes a complete royal makeover. The venue’s main walkway will transform into a Town Square-inspired promenade housing 13 distinct princess-themed hammocks. Guests can test their Disney lore by identifying iconic heroines like Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, and Mulan purely through their silhouettes and recognizable motifs. When darkness falls, the area utilizes over 100 individual lighting effects to shift from elegant gold tones into kaleidoscopic colour sequences. Sensoryscape’s Tactile Trellis will also feature a five-metre topiary shaped like the Disney Cruise Line logo nestled amongst manicured floral displays.
For those seeking a more atmospheric escape, the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia will draw direct inspiration from Disney Discovery Reef and Wayfinder Bay. The iconic suspension bridge and islet will come alive with shifting oceanic hues and glowing underwater manta ray installations celebrating Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, and Lilo & Stitch. Guests can even use a web-based portal to project their own interactive light creations onto the famous Sentosa Rock.
The tip of the islet shifts focus to the voyaging world of Moana, bathing the landscape in starlit pathways, wayfinding motifs, and misty environments where the heart of Te Fiti resides. Access to this premium evening experience requires a dedicated ticket, which includes a gamified activity card for collecting embossed stamps and a limited-edition Disney Adventure keepsake postcard.
Exclusive Keepsakes and Perks
No summer festival is complete without memorabilia, and SDC has designed a bespoke, summer-style merchandise collection in tandem with Disney Cruise Line. Visitors can purchase customised microfibre towels, eco-bags, tumblers, and keychains directly from retail kiosks across the island. Furthermore, UOB cardholders from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand who spend a minimum of $60 in a single transaction on the island can redeem a rare, complimentary glow-in-the-dark medallion pin.
In excellent news for holidaymakers, passengers with confirmed bookings aboard the Disney Adventure between 24 June and 1 October 2026 can unlock exclusive perks. By presenting their booking confirmation or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, sailing guests can claim one complimentary Sentosa Discovery Choice Pass to an attraction of their choice, alongside a 15 percent discount on Southernmost Point night admission tickets and select Sentosa Fun Discovery Pass bundles.
This ambitious collaboration marks the launch of what SDC intends to be an evolving annual summer platform for Sentosa, with future years promising entirely new themes and world-class partnerships. With installations set to be progressively refreshed and seasonal fringe programming added throughout the next three months, there is plenty of reason to plan multiple visits to the island this summer.
