Bigger Scoops, Bolder Fun: MOIC Singapore’s Magical Makeover Is A Must-Visit Experience

When my editor told me about the grand media launch of the revamped Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) Singapore, I didn’t think twice. A vibrant, ice cream-themed wonderland getting a whole new glow-up? Absolutely, yes. What made it even more special was that I got to bring my four-year-old daughter along for the ride.

And if you’re wondering how it was, let me just say this: it’s something you have to experience for yourself. We had the most magical time.

A Whimsical World Of Colour, Sweetness & Joy

Since opening in 2021, MOIC Singapore has become one of the city’s most iconic destinations, attracting half a million visitors (and counting) and winning awards like Klook’s Best in Experience and TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice. Celebs like Kim Kardashian, JJ Lin and David Beckham have all walked through its pink doors, and now, after a sprinkle-filled revamp, it’s back—and it’s better than ever.

Stepping into MOIC’s signature 25,000 square foot pastel paradise felt like being transported into a dream. The new multi-sensory installations are bursting with colour, imagination and pure joy—for kids and grown-ups alike. My daughter’s eyes lit up at every turn, and to be honest, so did mine.

A Multi-Sensory Playground For All Ages

One of the first stops on our sugar-filled adventure was the all-new indoor Carnival. With nostalgic games, buttery popcorn in hand, and an adorable Animal Cookie ride that had my daughter squealing with delight, it was impossible not to get swept up in the fun. Right after, we kicked off our ice cream journey with eight rotating flavours from Denzy Gelato—creamy, inventive, and super inclusive with their vegan and allergen-friendly options. My little one made a beeline for the Strawberry scoop while I happily sampled them all (for research, of course!).

As we wandered deeper, the excitement only ramped up. The expanded Bouncy Castle was an instant hit—my daughter bounced her heart out while I watched in awe at the sheer energy kids can have post-sugar rush. But the true highlight for both of us was the Infinity Mirror Party Zone. Picture a kaleidoscope of lights, mirrors and upbeat tunes—it was like stepping into a disco ball. “This is the shiny dance room!” she exclaimed, twirling around, completely mesmerised. Just when I thought we’d seen it all, we stumbled into Singapore’s first-ever Banana Maze. It’s silly, colourful, slightly chaotic, and hands-down one of the most Instagrammable corners of the experience. Let’s just say our camera roll was bursting with banana-themed selfies.

Of course, what’s a trip to MOIC without indulging in their signature sweet treats—and this time, they’ve doubled the fun. With up to 19 ice cream flavours and 8 different toppings spread across the space, we were spoilt for choice. Strawberry Speculoos and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough were personal favourites (with bonus points for spotting Ben & Jerry’s along the way). What I loved most was the all-new MOIC Passport, which made the experience even more engaging—packed with fun facts and mini missions for kids, it gave our visit a playful educational twist. As a final treat, we also got to peek into their free hands-on workshops, running from 3rd to 25th May. From squishy painting to edible slime, they looked like a riot of fun—we’ll definitely be back for more.
