Maple Bear Midview City celebrated their 10th anniversary, which coincided with Children’s Day. They went above and beyond to mark a decade of excellence in education. In celebration of this milestone, the school adopted a baby tree kangaroo named SUSU at Singapore Zoo.

This act symbolizes their commitment to wildlife and environmental sustainability. The children’s excitement for this year’s Children’s Day festivities was palpable. However, the kangaroo adoption stole the show. It made the event one for the books.

Commemorating Ten Years With A Leaping Symbol Of Care

Around 600 Maple Bear Midview City’s staff, students, and parents attended the 10th anniversary. It was not just about numbers—it was a celebration of community. It was a celebration of growth and purpose. The school has been a part of countless young lives, shaping students with its blend of Canadian and Singaporean educational practices.

With the adoption of the baby tree Goodfellow kangaroo, Maple Bear Midview City didn’t just give the children a reason to celebrate—they gave them an experience. The students were able to engage with the concept of environmental stewardship hands-on, understanding that their school’s efforts contribute to the well-being of wildlife. This initiative is more than just symbolic; it aims to inspire young minds to develop a lifelong respect for nature.

“At Maple Bear, we believe in creating meaningful experiences for children. These experiences go beyond the classroom. They help children develop a strong sense of connection with nature and the community around them. We are thrilled to welcome SUSU to our family! Having so many of our students, parents and grandparents together on Children’s Day here at the Singapore Zoo is wonderful. Learning about wildlife and celebrating the joys of childhood with them is fantastic. It’s a great way to commemorate our tenth year,” – Michelle Wan, Managing Director of Maple Bear Midview City.

Families were invited to extend the celebration after the adoption, cheque presentation, and cake-cutting ceremony. The event continued at the Singapore Zoo’s Forest Lodge. An exciting lineup of Children’s Day activities awaited them there. Maple Bear Midview City students confidently took the stage for class performances, showcasing their talents. A buffet lunch provided the perfect opportunity for families to relax and enjoy the day together. The children enjoyed a variety of engaging activities. These included games, crafts, temporary tattoos, and a thrilling scavenger hunt. All activities were aimed at sparking creativity, teamwork, and family bonding.

Reflecting On 10 Years Of Growth

Ten years is a significant milestone, and Maple Bear Midview City has much to be proud of. The school has consistently provided top-tier bilingual education, nurturing both academic excellence and emotional growth. The kangaroo adoption symbolises the school’s growth and its future.
