LOEWE Joins Forces With Kenshi Yonezu For A Captivating FW23 Men’s Collection Campaign

For the LOEWE Fall Winter 2023 campaign, the collaboration featured the renowned French photographer Arnaud Lajeunie, who skillfully captured the essence of Kenshi Yonezu, an iconic singer-songwriter and artist known for shaping an entire era with his multifaceted creative pursuits.

In the campaign, Kenshi Yonezu effortlessly donned ensembles from LOEWE’s latest and most captivating collection. In the latest campaign for LOEWE FW23 men’s collection, the exceptional French photographer Arnaud Lajeunie skillfully captures the essence of Kenshi Yonezu, an artist who has left an indelible mark on his era as a singer-songwriter and creative visionary.

The campaign offers a unique glimpse into Kenshi Yonezu’s creative world, featuring his cherished novels, comic books, and memorabilia that have shaped his youth and artistic identity.

Set against a series of captivating blurred backdrops, Yonezu confidently showcases LOEWE’s latest looks. Among them, he flaunts the metal angel wings emerging from a studded shirt, a beautifully twisted coat crafted from soft nappa lambskin, and lace-up derby shoes with distinctively exaggerated round toes—a hallmark of LOEWE’s design aesthetic.

He effortlessly lounges on a bed, donning pixelated jeans and a stylish denim jacket, while also pondering in front of a piano, wearing a striking workwear jacket made from nappa lambskin. His artistic exploration takes him to wander on tatami, clad in a vividly green draped cardigan.

The campaign also features still life images, showcasing the eye-catching bi-colour Puzzle Fold tote, the Puzzle bag adorned with a vibrant red mushroom pattern, and the Cubi Crossbody bag alongside the elegant Campo lace-ups in black calfskin, and a variety of meticulously crafted small leather goods.

The campaign comes to life through pop-in spaces at LOEWE Omotesando and CASA LOEWE Tokyo, running from August 16 to 23. These spaces will exhibit the captivating imagery and the artisan-crafted metal wings showcased on the FW23 runway. Furthermore, the campaign will be seen across various outdoor spaces nationwide, as well as gracing the cover of Highsnobiety Japan, with an editorial feature in the upcoming issue, set to release on September 1.

Jonathan Anderson, the creative director, expresses his gratitude for collaborating with Kenshi Yonezu, acknowledging him as one of the most influential music artists in Asia. He highlights that the campaign’s theme explores male sensibility, which naturally aligns with Kenshi’s music’s ambiguous and introspective energy, making it a perfect fit for LOEWE menswear.

The collaboration also marks a momentous occasion, as LOEWE celebrates 50 years in Japan, further deepening the meaningful cultural dialogue established by the brand.
