Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD), a reputable non-profit organization established in December 2000, is proud to present the highly anticipated third edition of their signature fundraising event, Jazz For Dogs. Taking place at the renowned Singapore Botanic Gardens in 2019, this event attracted over 3000 dedicated supporters and 500 adorable canine companions.
By harnessing the power of jazz, Jazz For Dogs aims to connect with a wide audience and promote awareness for the plight of stray dogs. Dedicated to enhancing the welfare of Singapore’s stray and abandoned dogs, ASD tirelessly rescues and rehomes these animals.
Additionally, they advocate for sterilization as an effective measure to manage the population of stray dogs. Promoting responsible pet ownership and celebrating the unique qualities of Singapore’s local crossbreed dogs, affectionately known as Singapore Specials, are also key aspects of ASD’s mission. With an impressive track record, ASD has successfully found loving homes for 2951 dogs and sterilized 668 dogs through their Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage (TNRM) program as of the end of 2022.
After an unfortunate pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Jazz for Dogs is finally returning in 2023, showcasing an unforgettable evening in support of Singapore’s canine companions. Hosted by Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD), a prominent dog welfare group with 450 registered members and a dedicated following of over 46,000 on Facebook, this event aims to captivate the masses with the enchanting melodies of jazz while raising awareness for stray dogs.
